Review: Hello Kitty Nail Polish

I wrote a post back in September last year on these Hello Kitty polishes coming out. I bought this online from Superdrug, as I was desperately trying to purchase some from the store when they first came out in October. But every store I went to didn't have the Hello Kitty range in yet.

Where you can buy it: Superdrug stores and online
Price: £4.99 (now only £2.49)
Size: 10ml
Colours: Got Dat Thang (Pinky Purple), Melt Down (Pink), Play Ya (Blue), Respect (Black), Unstoppable (Yellow), Watcha (Green), Beat Box (Purple) and Candy Blaze (Navy).

This one I bought is in the colour Melt Down, I do love pink nail polish, so this had to be my first purchase.

Getting to the nitty gritty...... The bottle is super adorable. And you wouldn't expect anything less from Hello Kitty anyway. I wanted to buy the whole range just because of the prettiness of the bottles at first. But I only bought one, as a start.

I don't like the brush, it makes it hard to apply and it seems you are paying more for the bottle than the quality. Although, saying this and I did like how quickly the polish dries. The quality of the polish isn't great, I think its great for kids, but definitely not on par with some great brands like OPI and Essie. The colour is gorgeous, I love how vibrant it looks and the finish is nice. In comparison to the Rimmel 60 seconds nail polish, which are my go to nail polish because I'm always on the go and they dry super quick! The Rimmel ones costs around £3.69 but often on offer, like 3 for 2, or similar , I think I will stick with these.

In summary, It doesn't state that the Hello Kitty nail polishes are quick dry, but they do dry relevantly quickly and the colour is gorgeous. Really cute as a gift, but for the price I don't think I will be purchasing any of the other colours.
(Just a quick update that these Hello Kitty polishes are now £2.49, I am not sure if this is a permenant reduction in the price but currently as it stands, this is how much they are at Superdrug online.)

Have you tried any of the new Hello Kitty varnishes? What are your thoughts on them?
