Review: Benefit Ooh La Lift

I bought Benefit's Ooh La Lift back in April this year and I think its a good product for brightening the under eye area. It has light reflecting pigments in it, which help make your under eyes appear brighter and lighter.

Lets get the stats out the way:

Where can you buy it: Benefit Cosmetics online and in-store
Price: £16.50
Size: 6ml
Directions of use: Apply 3 dots under each eye and pat with fingertip.

I just want to start off by saying it does not conceal dark circles, you still need to apply concealer if you would regularly do this anyway.
Some people use this under their concealer, I did try this but couldn't see that it lighten the area, so I choose to apply it on top of my concealer and then I just powder my whole face as normal.

I wouldn't say that this product is a necessity in my make-up bag, but for me it definitely has it perks.
In these swatches you can see the effects Ooh la lift has on the skin in natural lighting and also with the flash of the camera. The top swatch is directly on to the skin without rubbing it in and the lower swatch is it a little rubbed in. It appears shimmery and it is a little but its not that noticeable once paired with make-up.
I don't think that this product creates a 'lift' in the skin but it does highlight to fade the look of dark circles.

Benefits: (see what I done there ;-) )
  • Easy to apply
  • I think it should be fine for any skin tone, as its not coloured
  • A little goes a long way
  • You can pop it in the fridge; for that instant wake me up effect when you apply it in the morning, especially great for puffiness
  • Great for highlighting
